Prep & After Care
Skin Health
Your skin reflects your overall well-being, and we believe that radiant skin starts with quality skincare.
Prep
Pre-Tan Preparation:
- Shower, shave, and exfoliate using a washcloth or hand mitt. Avoid scrubs with sugar or salt, and don’t apply any products afterward. This means no lotion, deodorant, perfume, oils, or makeup on your skin.
Wear loose, dark-colored clothing and sandals for after your appointment.
*Important*: Avoid using products that contain ingredients like alcohol, mineral oils, most essential oils, fragrance, Retin-A, anti-aging formulas, makeup removers, toners, hair removal products, and antiperspirants.
-Use mild soap for best results and avoid products with ultra moisturizing ingredients that will leave a residue.
What to Expect During Your Appointment:
- I apply a barrier cream to your hands, feet, elbows, and knees before spraying to ensure even coverage.
- After the application, I finish with a setting powder to reduce any sticky feeling.
Before Booking Your Appointment:
-Waxing and facials should be done at least 1-2 days prior your tan.
-Manicures and pedicures can be done right before, but please skip any scrubs, lotion, or oils.
Tan Prep Timing: Aim to prep 12-24 hours prior to your appointment.
After Care
After-Tan Care:
- Warm Water Rinse: Wait at least 3 hours before rinsing with warm water only. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing your skin. Allow the water to run clear, then gently pat yourself dry and apply moisturizer. Continue moisturizing daily to maintain your tan.
-Ingredients to Avoid: For lasting results, steer clear of products containing mineral oils, makeup removers, toners, alcohol, fragrances, harsh soaps, Retin-A, most essential oils, anti-aging, and anti-acne ingredients.
